Alanna is a foreign affairs analyst who began her career as an English teacher abroad. Her fascination with globalization and its effects on local communities led her to pursue a graduate degree at the School of International Service at American University in Washington, DC. Alanna has worked on long-term and short-term projects in the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, and Cuba and brings over five years of experience in education and project management to Athena.
She earned a B.A. in English from Howard University and a M.A. in Intercultural and International Communication from American University. Outside of work, Alanna enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and taking Latin dance classes.
